1993 Kishtwar Massacre
Some unknown people stopped a passenger bus in Kishtwar Town of Doda District on August 14 and killed 15 passengers.
1997 Sangrampora Massacre
This massacre was the killing of seven Kashmiri Pandit Hindu villagers in Sangrampora village of Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on 21 March 1997 by alleged Islamic militants. It has been said that the men barged into homes of a Kashmiri Pandits, took away seven men and killed them.
1998 Wandhama Massacre
23 Kashmiri Pandit Hindus were killed in the town of Wandhama near Ganderbal in Kashmir on 25 January 1998. The victims included four children, nine women and 10 men. Terror Outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba has been blamed for this massacre. The attackers also demolished a Hindu temple and a house during this massacre.
1998 Prankot Massacre
In Prankot village of Udhampur district, 27 people were killed, including 11 children by terrorists. All the victims were Hindus.
2000 Amarnath pilgrimage Massacre
The 2000 Amarnath pilgrimage massacre involves killing of 30 people, mostly Hindu pilgrims, by Kashmiri separatist militants on 1 August 2000 in Pahalgam town located in Anantnag district, Kashmir, India. These pilgrims were on their way to Amarnath temple on annual pilgrimage. The then Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Pahalgam and blamed Lashkar-e-Taiba for the killings.
2000 Chitti Singpora Massacre
During this massacre 36 Sikhs were shot dead on 20 March 2000 in Chitti Sing pora village of Anantnag district. The militants lined up the Sikhs, who had been celebrating the Holi or Hola Mahalla Festival, in front of their Gurdwaras and opened fire. 36 people were killed.
2001 Chalwalkote Massacre
This involves killing of 15 Muslim villagers/ Bakerwals in the village of Chalwalkote ( also called Kot Charwal) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir by militants on 9 February 2001.
2002 Kaluchak Massacre
The 2002 Kaluchak Massacre was a terrorist attack on 14 May 2002 near the town of Kaluchak in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Three Pakistani militants attacked a tourist bus from the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and killed 31 people.
2001 Doda Massacre
On May 09 2001, Six Hindus were beheaded in a terrorist attack in Doda district
2001 Kishtwar massacre
During this massacre, a group of 10 LeT militants swooped on a village Ladder near Kishtwar in Doda District and dragged 20 males belonging to the Hindu community out of their houses. They were taken to the adjacent rocky mountain belt and shot. Five villagers were wounded.
2001 Jammu Railway Station Massacre
Three terrorists in Army fatigues launched an attack at the Jammu railway station on August 6 2001. Around 11 persons were killing in the massacre.
2002 Raghunath temple Massacre
The famous Raghunath Temple in Jammu City was attacked twice in the year 2002. Once on March 30 and other on November 24. On March 30 at around 10:30 in the morning, the temple was attacked by two terrorists. The terrorists arrived and fired at the guards killing them on the spot. They then stormed the temple, threw a grenade and fired indiscriminately at the worshippers. After expending ammunition, one of the attackers who was wearing a suicide vest blew himself up.
On November 24 in the same year, the temple was attacked second time by two suicide bombers who stormed the temple and killed fourteen devotees and injured 45 others.
2002 Qasim Nagar massacre
The 2002 Qasim Nagar massacre was the killing of 29 Hindu labourers in Qasim Nagar on the outskirts of Jammu (city) in Jammu and Kashmir by alleged Islamic militants on 13 July 2002. The dead included 13 women and a child.
2003 Nadimarg Massacre
During Nadimarg massacre , 24 Hindus were killed in the village of Nadimarg in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir by terrorists on 23 March 2003.
